Bali 2002

When two large explosions rip through packed nightclubs in Bali, many are killed and many more injured. Volunteers and first responders work desperately to pull the injured to safety and rush them to local hospitals where medical staff are overwhelmed.

A team of Australian Federal Police is despatched to Bali to work with Indonesian police in determining the cause of the explosions in Kuta and it soon becomes clear that they were a coordinated act of terrorism. Injured survivors are evacuated to hospitals all over Australia where doctors work tirelessly to save their lives.

Australian and Indonesian investigators work together to track down the perpetrators of the Bali bombings as injured survivors and their loved ones try to piece their shattered lives back together.

As some of the perpetrators stand trial for committing an act of terrorism, investigators hunt for the elusive mastermind who continues a bombing spree at strategic locations across Indonesia. Injured survivors and their loved ones look to each other for emotional healing and attempt to come to terms with their new lives, which will never be the same again.
