As Fitzgerald's bar is up for auction, a number of new faces arrive in Ballykissangel, some more welcome than others.

Fitzgerald's bar is put up for auction and local Brian Quigley aspires to buy the bar. Bella Mooney, local entrepreneur has big plans to turn the bar into a brasserie. A breezy young woman, Orla O'Connell, comes to town looking for her brother, Aidan, the new priest, but nobody knows where he is. At the auction, there is a monumental bidding tussle for Fitzgerald's, who will be the new owner?

Brendan and Siobhan finally decide to tie the knot - but keeping it a secret could be a problem. Niamh and Ambrose, meanwhile, worry about the state of their marriage.

Niamh leaves Ambrose holding the baby, and Kathleen gets an unexpected visitor. Donal and Liam try to earn some extra cash.

Brian Quigley's dreams of owning a golf course get a boost, while Siobhan and Brendan disagree on their daughter's christening.

There are some strange goings on in the stratosphere over Ballykissangel. Niamh faces her feelings for Sean.
