The Barbababies want to do documentaries about wild animals like the ones they see on TV. Africa being too far, they will start with the animals of the farm. There are no lions nor elephant, but it can be dangerous too !

The barbababies go studying the animals of the forest. They didn’t find any animals, but the animals did find their picnic basket ! It wasn’t Barbabravo who ate everything after all.

Barbazoo hides alone at night in the forest to film wild animals. But the only ones he can see are his sisters and brothers playing a joke on him. Barbazoo is very sad, he’ll never see wild animals in foreign countries. Or will the whole family decide to travel around the world?

After looking at the delightful birds of paradise dancing, the Barbapapas have a nap in a clearing. When they wake up, some of their propertie has disappeared. Barbabravo is looking for the mysterious thief. Can it be a ferocious cannibal? No. The small hut where he finds the stolen objects is the house of a bower-bird !

Running after the baby cassowaries, Lolita discovers that they have a very big mother. she runs away, heading for the beach where the green turtles come to lay their eggs. On the beach, the Barbapapas discover that the baby turtles are coming out ! To help the babies arriving safely to the sea, they make a Barba-tunnel to protect them from the hungry seagulls.

Disguised in cactus, the Barbapapas can see the cute Viscaches coming out of their holes. They climb back on the train to continue their trip but riding in the Andes mountains can be very dangerous. Changing himself into a bridge, Barbapapa prevents the train from falling over the cliff and stops it, saving the llamas standing on the tracks.

The Barbapapas meet the llamas and the alpacas. Then they continue their travel by train. Barbalib watches the condors but Barbabravo, always hungry, is more interested in a banana tree. They stop near a lake to study the flamingos. But you can catch cold standing in the water. Don’t worry ! Barbamama knitted beautiful ponchos for everyone out of the alpacas’ nice wool.

A baby bear fell into a crevasse. His overwhelmed with grief mother confuses the hairy Barbabeau with her disappeared cub and kidnaps him. Thinking they have found the missing Barbabeau, The Barbapapa Family takes the cub out of the crevasse instead. Finally, Barbamama and the mother bear will exchange their children.

The “funny little pig” Barbabright found in the jungle is in fact a baby rhinoceros whose humourless father is now chasing them! Fooling the rhinoceros with torero’s tricks, Barbapapa leads him to a tree where its horn stays stuck. Now that it’s calmed down, the Barbapapas can free the rhino, cutting him free.

A mysterious shadow kidnaps Lolita during the night. The only clues are long red hairs the kidnapper left along his way. The Barbapapas follow this track to a clearing where an improvised jungle circus of orang-utans is making an acrobatic demonstration. The Barbapapas decide to add their own attraction to the show.

The Barbapapa family meet the kangaroos in Australia. Lolita chase away the dingos which were preparing to attack the baby kangaroos. Lolita was our heroine today !

In the Australian trees, the Barbapapa family meet the koalas. Using the flying squirrel’s way of locomotion, the Barbapapa glide from one tree to another but Lolita falls in the river. Barbabravo saves her from the waters where the strange platypus is swimming.

Making a bridge over the river, The Barbapapa family helps the animals running away from the forest fire. They go back in the fire to bring back the emus’s eggs and to rescue the koalas trapped in the burning trees. Finally, the rain puts out the fire. The forest is saved !

Barking at an impolite Yak, Lolita started an avalanche. The whole family pop out of the snow. Watching them, the unseen Lolita doesn’t understand they move the snow all over looking for her. Barbabravo finally spots her and a dangerous Snow Leopard approaching her ! The Barbapapas chases the Leopard away and Lolita runs back to her master.

From their boat, the Barbapapas can look at the flying fish. They join the Devil fish playing around in the water but everybody goes back on the boat when a shark interrupts their games. Continuing their trip, they spot a drowning proboscis monkey. They save him and take him back to his island.

The Barbapapas have fun imitating the Violin Crab’s dance. Insensible to the charm of their choreography, Lolita barks at the crabs and get pinched. She runs away madly and falls into a quick sand. Barbabravo runs to help her but falls into it too. Carefully, Barbapapa makes a bridge above the quick sand and is able to take them both out.

It’s no use taking the periophthalme back in the water, these fishes climb the trees and can breathe air like we do. The water is coming up anyway and the Barbapapas are trapped on a mound. They can’t go back to the beach changing themselves into a boat because the waters are infested with crocodiles. Finally they find their way into the trees changing themselves into suspension bridge.

Travelling on their elephant-shaped father, the Barbapapa family visit India. They meet the big Calao and a herd of Indian buffaloes. Near the lake, there are a lot of animals to be seen… but Lolita scares them away barking ! Lolita is punished, and tied up to a tree. She seems an easy prey to the approaching tiger but the Barbapapas wont let him eat their noisy Dog !

An elephant joins the caravan of the Barbapapas. But soon they can’t walk anymore. It’s the beginning of the rainy season and the water level is so high they must continue their trip changing themselves into a boat. like a small ark, they rescue a lot of animals that were trapped by the mounting waters.

There is a lot to be seen in the Amazon Forest. Giant trees, sloth, armadillo, serpents, crocodile, Jaguar, piranhas. But Lolita doesn’t see anything. In fact, she’s so absent-minded she falls into a swamp and is rapidly surrounded by various ferocious animals. Happily the Barbapapa family is here to save her.

Walking the forest, the barbababies meets some cheerful monkeys. The Family build a tree house to observe the various species living at the top of the trees. Lolita thinks she can swing on the vines like the rest of the family but she falls down and bounces on a Barba-trampoline. The monkeys applause this new acrobatic demonstration.

The Barbapapas ride a boat down the Amazon River. They stop on a shore to install their camp and explore the Forest. Though it can scare away a jaguar by showing its long claws, the barbababies enjoy the gentle anteaters company. Covered with biting ants by accident, Lolita decides that she loves them too! The next morning, the Barbapapas find back their missing boat.

The Barbapapas built a bamboo observatory to study the pandas. But there is none to be seen. Some of the observers get bored and start fooling around. Barbazoo finally spot a panda far away. He Follows it in the bamboo forest. In a clearing he can film a baby panda playing with its mother. Now Barbazoo wants to come back but he’s lost!
