Johan is conditionally released and Minnie has lost custody of her daughter after drug abuse. Both are part of a group that will go into therapy on an isolated island in the archipelago.

Minnie's experiences of a supernatural presence from room 5 are reinforced when she is warned by the housemaid, Gittan, not to delve deeper in the island's past.

The circumstances surrounding the woman who disappeared on the island become more mysterious and Minnie wants to enter room 5 to find answers. Meanwhile, Uno puts more pressure on Johan.

Minnie's relationship with Uno becomes increasingly intimate, at the same time as she and Johan discovers evidence that Uno is hiding dark secrets. The intrigue escalates when the group goes on a hike.

Minnie is convinced that there is a darkness on the island, and she connects it to the name Maja. Maybe the answer lies within the empty hospital on the other side of the island?

Minnie finds out that people from Kallskär have always disappeared. Could they be related to events 70 and 160 years ago? Is it the island itself that forces people to make terrible choices?

Oscar has disappeared, but Uno does not want to alert the police. Instead, participants are asked to look for him. Meanwhile, Minnie makes new discoveries, which leads her back to the cholera hospital.

Who has stolen all the cell phones while also cutting the phone line to the island? And where is Gittan's boat, the only means of transport from there? Minnie thinks Maja has the answers...
