Bonga, a leading figure in Portuguese-speaking music – and especially in Angolan semba – performs here on the stage of the Vienna Jazz Festival in 2019. Since 2000, with the Lusafrica label in Paris, Bonga has been continually releasing albums and performing concerts. With more than thirty LPs to his credit, he appeals to older and younger audiences alike.
