Breaking Amish

A group of five young Amish men and women make a move to Brooklyn, New York, that will change their lives forever. They quickly learn that chasing their wildest dreams may be easier said than done.

Drama ensues as the group prepares to leave the Amish world for Brooklyn, NY. With the reality of leaving home and everything they've ever known setting in, some of them learn their past may be coming along for the ride.

After spending their first night in a youth hostel in Brooklyn, the group sets out to explore the city and ends up at the epicenter of New York: Time Square. However, they aren't prepared for the drama that is about to unfold.

Matt's lies threaten to tear the group apart unless he comes clean to his wife about his hook-up. The group explores Central Park and the Statue of Liberty, but an unexpected guest's arrival pushes things to a boiling point.

The group continues to deal with the fall-out as Miriam tells Matt's wife the truth about their hook-up. Meanwhile, Vonda gives online dating a try while Bates takes his first steps toward launching an acting career.

Miriam starts focusing on her dreams, Matt's marriage takes a drastic turn and Bates is blindsided by his girlfriend back home. Tired of not fitting in, the group decides to ditch their Amish clothes and go English.

Matt and Bates return to the Amish and Mennonite country to fight for the women they love. Bates visits his mother, but after realizing he lost his own family, he goes to Miriam's to try and put his New York family back together.

Miriam's return to New York brings the family back together, but the camaraderie doesn't last long. Bates focuses on his acting career but can't shake the fact that he doesn't have his mother's support.

Matt rides high after his first performance, but reality comes crashing down when Venus brings him unexpected news. Vonda begins to get past the memory of her late boyfriend, and Bates deals with news that could change his life.

After returning home to race their new reality, the group grapples with their decisions to return Amish or stay in the English world.
