British Railway Journeys

Join us as we travel through some of England's finest countryside from Bridgnorth in the north of Oxford, city of dreaming spires in the south. Our rail journey passes through the heart of it all with the preserved steam lines, inter-city trains, modern turbo units plus the only inland cliff railway.

We take a delightful train journey through the south west of Scotland with its towns and villages, craggy hillsides and castles, streams and lakes and harbors and beaches. Our excursion begins at Largs, a popular seaside resort, on a Class 318EMU operated by Strathclyde Transport and then heads south passing the Hunterson Ore Terminal and nuclear power station.

Join us as we travel through some of England's finest countryside, the low-lying region of East Anglia. The region plays host to historic towns and villages, fens, broads, miles of magnificent coastline, and a great deal more. Our journey from Cambridge to Sheringham provides a wonderful and enchanted look at this quiet little corner of England.

The Lake District is one of the most spectacular areas in the country and we explore it on a variety of sprinters. We start our journey at Carnforth which was built as a meeting point of the London and North West, the <idland and the Furness railway. From Carnforth, served by class 86 and 87 EMUs, we head north to Oxenholme, junction for the branch line to Windermere and then on to Kendal.

From the mouth of the River Tees to the rugged coast of the North Sea this program takes us through some of the country's most breathtaking scenery With the splendor of the Esk Valley and the dramatic climb into the North York Moors, this is one of the great railway journeys.

Join us as we take in the spectacular scenery on this journey along the North Wales coast. It's an experience never to be forgotten with majestic cliffs, bustling towns, historic castles and sweeping beaches. Our journey begins in England at Chester with its long and colorful history but it is not long before we are in the Welsh seaside resorts of Rhyl and Llandudno.

To travel by train from Exeter to Penzance is a journey never to be forgotten, with dramatic coastal scenery and rolling countryside. Our journey begins in the cathedral city of Exeter before we board an Intercity that takes us past the River Exe and the red cliffs south of Exmouth to Dawlish, Teignmouth and on to Paignton.

To travel along the Settle to Carlisle line is to experience one of the most wonderful train journeys of the world. Passing along England's wild Pennine backbone there is plenty to see and discover: not just scenery and steam trains but also rich heritage, castles, and houses and the chance to see eagles and hawks fly free.

Hop aboard the single-carriage sprinter as we start at the English border in Srewsbury, a town with its imposing castle and innumerable listed buildings. Our first stop is Church Stretton and then we travel to Knighton which straddles the English-Welsh boarder with the station in England and the town of Wales. We then cross the Knuckles Viaduct before we arrive at the town of Llandrindod Wells.
