Building Off the Grid: Big Sky Ranch

Jon and Etta get started on their off-the-grid home and bison ranch build in one of the most remote corners of Montana. With the harsh winter right around the corner, they are in a race against time to finish their dream home.

Jon and Etta finally have what they need to kick this build into high gear, so they are working hard to get their house dried in as soon as possible. Will wrong measurements derail their plans?

Jon and Etta finally get to bring their new bison home to their ranch, but not without a treacherous drive standing in their way. They also find time to take advantage of their land to source their own build materials.

'Montana time' has set Jon and Etta's build back, so they are stuck waiting for the well drillers. In the meantime, they work on their windmill and take care of their new bison.

Jon and Etta work through bitter cold to finish the exterior of their home before another massive storm hits. With low temperatures and little daylight, every baby step they make is a victory in its own right.

After construction delays and lots of hard work, the finishing touches are falling into place for Jon and Etta's off-the-grid build.
