Conan and the Detective Boys are playing baseball at a construction site when Genta hits the ball and it goes into someone's backyard. They want the ball back but the homeowner Mr. Watanuki shoos them away.

Masao Koda claims that his sister has been murdered by Mr. Watanuki so the Detective Boys try to investigate when they find out Mr. Koda has robbed a jewerly store.

Ayumi has been hit and run by a car so Conan, Genta and Mitsuhiko are on the pursuit. They lose sight of the car in front of a construction sight.

Ran is participating in a French Culinary class for Sonoko. The class is taught by famous chef Michi Uemori, and Ran convinces Kogoro and Conan to join her.

Famous chef Michi Uemori was stabbed in the back with a thin needle like weapon and dies. There are 4 suspects all with possible motives.

Genta and Mitsuhiko say "the school is cursed" out of nowhere. They say that there are strange occurances at night.

Ran and Conan are lost and they end up in a city near the bay. There, they find a young woman's corpse in the water.

Ran invites her dad Kogoro and her mom Eri, who is currently living separately from them, to a hotel and plans a family summer vacation.

The family vacation planned by Ran with Kogoro and Eri has turned into a mess. Kogoro and Eri are showing no signs of getting along and a diver gets bit by a poisonous sea snake.

Kaori Shinmei, daughter of popular mystery novelist Nintaro Shinmei, comes to the Mori Detective Agency. She says that her parents have been missing for 2 months.

Are the Shinmei couple being confined somewhere? Conan realizes that the drafted novels delivered by fax contain a clue and message.

Heiji invites Conan, Ran, and Kogoro to visit him in Osaka along with sight-seeing. However, they run into a serial murder case.

Conan goes to dinner with Ran, Kogoro, Ayumi, Genta and Mitsuhiko. On the way they run into a young man dressed up as the popular kid's TV show Masked Yaiber.

Kogoro's former client, Hiromi Yamazaki, invites Conan, Ran and Kogoro to a mountain villa. Later, Hiromi falls from the balcony.

Kogoro drops his Yoko Okino concert tickets and he is in dread. By chance, a young woman and Yoko fan, Masayro Aoshima tells him she has an extra ticket and is willing to sell it to him.

Masayo's younger sister Mina is found dead in the bathroom with her wrists slit and in the bathtub. At first, it looks like a suicide.

While Kogoro is fast alseep from drinking, the Detective Boys hear one of his messages on the phone. It's from the popular weather lady Aki Asano.
