Follows Dickens through a wide range of city locations, visiting the debtor's prison where his father was held, and to the blacking factory where the child Dickens worked with the poorest. It takes in the House of Parliament where he was a reporter and honed his skills as a writer, to his home near King's Cross Station. It also includes a visit to Poet's Corner in Westminster Abbey
