Rituparno Ghosh's 'Chitrangada' deals with the struggle for gender identity which is expressed through a dramatisation of the life of 'Chitrangada', a character in Mahabharata. Rudra (Rituparno Ghosh), is a gay choreographer who, while directing the play 'Chitrangada', falls in love with a crew member, Partho (Jishu Sengupta). Will he survive the struggle to change the gender of his choice?
