Chrono Crusade

Faithfully serving the Magdalene Order, exorcists Sister Rosette and her partner Chrono clean the streets of the demonic filth that plagues America in 1928. Hold on to your rosary as this dynamite pair rages against all that is unholy.

Rosette is entrusted with a new sacred bullet of untested, horrific destructive force. When she accidentally loses her gun - loaded with the new bullet - she has to face the consequences.

Rosette and Chrono go undercover to save Azmaria, an Apostle who has the power to heal others, from the clutches of the evil Viscount Lerajie. Rosette discovers a clue about her long lost brother, Joshua.

Chrono is severely injured while trying to free Azmaria. Rosette is forced to release Chrono’s true form as a powerful devil if they are to defeat Viscount Lerajie.

Aion, the devil who abducted Joshua, is abducting the Apostles to rain horrific terrors upon Earth. When Azmaria gets caught in the middle of a militia training sequence, Rosette is pushed to her limits to save her.

Rosette, Chrono and Azmaria investigate a report of a corpse being smuggled by the mob. There they meet Satella the Jewel Witch, a bounty hunter with a big grudge against devils.

The seal between Earth and Pandemonium, the land of demons, has been broken, releasing deadly horrors into Central Park. As the Magdalene Order works to restore the barrier, Aion targets Azmaria.

Rosette beams with pride when Father Remington calls her for help on a mission. But when she arrives at Grand Central Station, she falls into the grips of one of Aion’s pawns, the Sinner Rizel.

Rosette returns to her and Joshua’s orphanage - frozen in time since the day Aion took him. Memories of happier times with her brother, and how they met Chrono, come rushing back to her.

Aion takes Chrono’s horns - by which devils store their strength - and gives them to Joshua. Rosette makes a contract with Chrono, exchanging years off of her own life to give him the power to save her brother and defeat Aion.

A vicious dog-like wraith is feasting on members of the mob, but the Magdalene Order can’t destroy it until the beast takes a solid shape. Rosette pursues the ghosthound into a dark subway, where she is assisted by an unlikely ally.

Before Rosette and Chrono head to San Francisco to track down Joshua, they get into the holiday spirit and help make Azmaria’s first Christmas present a memorable one.

Aboard the train to San Francisco, Rosette, Chrono and Azmaria run into Satella - but she isn’t the only familiar face. The Sinner Rizel weaves a web of manipulation to steal the clock that holds Rosette’s life.

Chrono is bedridden with a terrible fever. As Rosette and Satella scour the city for a medicine that will work on a devil, a fortune teller tells Rosette a secret charm that will surely heal him.

Duffau, the duke of Pandemonium, offers to forge an alliance with the Magdalene Order to defeat Aion. As Rosette forms a pact with Duffau, her body bears markings - and the spirit - of a holy woman from Chrono’s past.

Satella is caught by a devil worshipper in the depths of a gold mine. Aion arrives to reveal who slaughtered her family, and that her sister is still alive.

Rosette’s stigmata continue to worsen and Satella has lost her will to fight. The Madgalene Order prepares to take down Aion, but when the militia takes to the battlefield, two Sinners give them hell.

The Magdalene Order suffers devastating casualties in the clash with the Sinners. At a carnival, Rosette follows a sign of Aion’s presence to find Joshua.

With Rosette and Azmaria caught in Aion’s grip, he begins the ritual of atonement. As the ceremony tears into Rosette, she calls on Chrono’s true form to fend off Aion.

Chrono rips his horns from Joshua’s head, but is paralyzed in stone during the struggle. Leaving the entire city of San Francisco in ruins, Aion takes Rosette to continue his demented plans to manipulate an Armageddon.

While frozen in stone, Chrono revisits his memories of Mary Magdalene - the prophetic woman whose spirit resounds in Rosette. Their eternal bond sheds light upon Chrono’s otherwise tortured existence.

Aion takes Rosette through the damaged city where she miraculously heals the wounded. Satella discovers her sister’s sorrowful fate as a deadly doll for Aion’s bidding, and a battle between them becomes their last adieu.

As people begin worshiping Rosette as the Holy Woman - calling themselves the new Crusaders - panicked masses turn against the Magdalene Order. His stone curse lifted, Chrono makes one last attempt to save Rosette and destroy Aion.

The devastation Aion afflicted upon the nation is irreversible, but Azmaria and the Magdalene Order march faithfully on to snuff out the influences of evil. With their lives waning, Rosette and Chrono disappear to spend their last days together in peace.
