In London, Mari and Lia are two very different Nordic survivors of dark pasts, they join a team of specialists called "The Studio" to bring down those who value power over justice.

Charismatic UK politician Arthur Fried's populism may connect to The Studio's investigation of two violent immigrant related deaths, a Muslim boy and a body the media calls The Faceless Woman.

Lia's friend Nina, a sex trafficking victim, may connect to The Faceless Woman's murder. The Studio follow a possible link between Fried's campaign and a far right terror group.

Lia infiltrates Fried's campaign but attracts more attention than she planned. Nina leads The Studio to a house holding abused sex slaves. Mari complex family secrets catch up with her.

Mari confides dark childhood secrets to Lia, Aarne's near fatal bullying by the warped Gerber Brothers. Police find another body and Lia knows the victim. Proximity to Fried proves increasingly fatal.

An interview designed to expose Fried backfires causing another woman's disappearance. Kidnapped at gunpoint, Lia's violent response surprises even her. She also faces an abusive stalker's return.

Election Day looms. Optimistic Fried faces ruthless powerbrokers from Mari's past. Lia and Mari's relationship fractures over the limits of revenge. An injured sex worker recognizes the voice of her attacker.

Mari solves her father's murder. She puts Lia in harm's way, but then risks everything to save her. Fried's victory ends in bloodshed. Lia and The Studio face a fight for survival.
