John and his best friend and former platoon brother Simon are tasked with protecting Nigerian politician Obadiya Zuberi, but they both share a dark past with him that complicates their assignment and leads to a shocking assassination.

John sets out to uncover the truth about the assassination, forcing him to confront the last person he wants to speak to. Meanwhile, the former members of John’s platoon plan an assault mission out of revenge.

Obadiya wants to make a deal with John, while the former commandos confront the Nigerian minister again, this time with deadly consequences. John learns that the person behind the assassination might be from his own platoon.

John returns to military service with the Royal Dutch Commandos, pushing his wife further away. Isabella interrogates his former platoon members to try and uncover the truth, culminating in a shocking death under suspicious circumstances.

As platoon member Kenneth struggles with PTSD and spirals out of control, John discovers a startling connection between him and the assassination. John’s retreat back into military life drives his family to leave him.

John is hunting down Kenneth, who he believes was involved in the assassination. Isabella tries to get Kenneth to tell the truth about Nigeria, but his former platoon members want him to keep quiet. When John finds Kenneth, he feels conflicted.

John is able to finally focus on his family, but Sophie has an accident. Meanwhile, Isabella continues investigating and plans to meet with Kenneth, who’s ready to tell the truth, but another death occurs and changes everything.

John receives an anonymous video of someone placing a bomb under Sophie’s hospital bed. If she tries to escape, the bomb will be triggered. Suspicions arise around Mo, who has disappeared and was the platoon’s demolitions expert.

John’s family moves to the army base for security. Instead of staying with them, he goes to track down Mo, who he finds in a dire situation and starts to doubt his involvement in the bomb. Isabella realizes that Berend may be hiding something.

When John and Mo find Berend, he has completely broken down. He tells them the truth about the killings before being stopped by authorities. Months later, John learns there was more to the story. Will he risk everything in the name of justice?
