Michelle continues to fawn over Alex. Steve's getting fed up of it. Norris is cross when Chesney fails to show up for his paper round again.

Alex is furious as he's forced to return to home with Wendy. Michelle's emotional promising they'll still see each other but Alex leaves hurt.

Claire calls round to No.5 with some food. She's horrified at the state of the place.

Claire's horrified to hear Chesney's been taken into care. David is put out that Gail and Tina seem to be getting on so well.

Tony makes Liam a very generous offer for his share of Underworld but Liam turns it down. David's excited at the prospect of taking Tina to the gig tonight.

Ryan tells Michelle he's going to get in contact with his real dad Nick. Kirk and Schmeichel visit Chesney at his foster parents.

Gail lies motionless at the bottom of the stairs. David, horrified at what he's done, runs from the house in a blind panic.

Audrey and David sit at Gail's bedside. The doctors tells them her injuries will mend but there's a possibility she could be brain damanged.

The police question Gail and all she can remember is arguing with Jason. She has no idea how she fell down the stairs.

David continues to play the doting son at Gail's bedside. Tony asks Carla if she accepted his proposal because she felt under pressure.

Audrey and Bill confront David. David vehemently denies pushing Gail down the stairs. Audrey asks him if he knew about Tina's abortion.

Leanne moans to Paul and Amber that £40k isn't enough and she'll be stuck with the restaurant for ever at this rate.

Gail is desperately trying to remember what happened before she was pushed down the stairs but to no avail.

Fiz moves her stuff into No.5. Kirk's delighted taking it as a sign he and Fiz will get back together but Fiz quickly explains she's moving in for Chesney's sake.
