Country Walks with Craig Duncan

On his first-ever walk, Craig starts his hiking journey at Hornsea Mere on the East Coast of Yorkshire. It's a short walk, made fruitful by Craig's clear lack of experience and fitness. Little chats and history dot his circular journey on a sunny day in Spring.

Craig has caught the hiking bug. But he hasn't quite got the hang of remembering names for places: a round trip from Falling Foss Falls on the edge of The North York Moors to Littlebeck. It's a testing walk for him but he finds time to stop and remember his life in noisy London before moving to the countryside.

A hot day sees Craig on a high moorland plain overlooking Nidderdale on the Yorkshire Dales. He happens across the bizarre Brimham Rocks worn into oustanding shapes by the wind. But the heat soon gets the better of him so he hatches a new plan.

Beautiful weather in Farndale valley, North Yorkshire. Craig follows his trusty guidebook and after a slight stumble, walks through farms, fields and long country lanes before is journey leads him to a sign warning "Bull in field".
