Crash Canyon

The vacationing Wendell family takes a disastrous wrong turn and winds up plummeting into a canyon, discovering an entire community of misfits - some happy to see them...some not.

Like any loving son, Jake gets rich promoting a boxing match for his father, then gets the opponent to take a dive. Unfortunately, Norm's victory gives him false confidence in his fighting abilities, and as he picks more fights, Jake is forced to pay for more dives.

After far too many sleepless nights, Sheila starts raising the trailer on stilts to avoid the light, noise, and smells that are keeping her awake. As her insomnia and craziness grows, she is at risk of missing Roxy's star turn in the canyon play that seems to be about silverware, accordions and ham.

Crippled by a growing insecurity and an emerging heart condition, Norm takes on the task of solving the canyon's power crisis. Norm begins to unravel as his bid to prove his manhood seems in jeopardy.

Sheila's rage issues get out of hand, driving Jake into the motherly arms of Frida. When Jake discovers a calming plant he calls "Chillaxin' Chutney", it seems Sheila's anger problems are cured. That is, until they run out of Chutney.

Crash Canyon is under attack - by a moose. The canyonites are angry and ready for revenge, but when Norm tries to prevent the mob from hunting down the moose, he is branded a coward. Every man's pacifism has a breaking point however, and Norm finds his after repeated mocking from his neighbors and several hooves to the face from the moose.

Norm can't bear to see a person suffer, even if the person is a monkey. Outraged by Colton's treatment of Lippy, he kidnaps the monkey and hides him in the Wendell trailer. This leads to a clash between Norm and Shiela and soon, no man, monkey, astronaut or wife is getting along.

Jake sells Norm and Sheila a perfect romantic weekend getaway package. When they leave however, they quickly realize it is neither perfect nor romantic. Jake and Roxy take full advantage of their parents' absence and set up their trailer up as the canyon's hottest new nightspot - nothing can go wrong now, right?

When Norm misjudges his poker skills, he winds up losing both his and Sheila's wedding rings to Earl. Desperate to win them back before Sheila clues in, Norm employs Jake and his underhanded ways in a bid to win them back.

Ever the opportunist, Jake decides to run for mayor in order to garner special privileges. Unfortunately, after winning a dirty election, Jake discovers the perks of being Canyon Mayor are not all they're cracked up to be.

When a trailer full of movie-making equipment falls into the canyon, Jake makes a movie that is universally hated. His attempt at redemption ends up solving the canyon's food crisis, as well as revealing some intimate moments between his unsuspecting parents.

Problems arise when Roxy enters the 'Miss Crash Canyon' pageant against her mother's will. Roxy wants desperately to win and will do anything to make it happen - even if it means dressing up as a man.

Salvation seems near when Jake a Roxy stumble across a map and diary that may lead the way out of the canyon. No plan is foolproof though, and there are plenty of fools in the canyon to ensure that nothing about their escape plan runs smoothly.

Jake, angling to marry into money, gets engaged to Pristine. Both the Wendells and Manderbelts want to call the wedding off, but neither of them wants to do it first and take the blame. This launches a high-stakes game of "chicken", with the Manderbelts and Wendells speeding towards an unholy union, neither of them willing to blink.

A gullible Norm surrenders the family's savings for Reginald's shady investment scheme, prompting a desperate endeavor to get the money back before he incurs the wrath of Sheila.

A mystery disease begins striking down the canyonites and Beverly takes the opportunity to quarantine everyone except for her family.

After being rejected by Sarah, Vernon begins an ill-advised exercise routine to try and win her favor.

When Sid appears to "cure" Roxy of an affliction, Jake sees an opportunity to make some money and begins promoting him as a Messiah, eventually roping in most of the canyonites to this new religion. Norm and Sheila face a dilemma when they discover the hoax, and struggle with losing their children to Sid the Savior.
