The cassowaries bring the zoo to the brink of a showdown. When one escapes, the capture of this large bird convinces Steve to attempt a new technique. Meanwhile, Kelsey and Jodie rescue a joey kangaroo, and Brendan rescues an angry red belly black snake.

Steve and Brendan are called out to remove a carpet python from a road crew's bulldozer. Steve, Wes and Kelsey monitor a pregnant reticulated python's labor and celebrate the birth of the zoo's first reticulated python babies.

Join the Australia Zoo team as they make some wild animal rescues. Steve tackles a large male kangaroo for the vet to examine. Wes rescues an arduous red belly black snake and Steve rescues a grumpy glider from a barbed wire fence.

The new Tasmanian Devil is causing chaos in the males enclosure and a prolonged fight ensues. One must be relocated to a new breeding enclosure on his own. Then, Wes and Brian try to release a fruit bat from a barbed wire fence.

Vets prove to be real wildlife heroes at the Australia Zoo. Chris and Danny perform an amazing miracle surgery on a wild wedge-tailed eagle that has been badly injured by a car. Meanwhile, Chris is called to remove the stitches from the face of a dingo.

Bushfires ravage the Australia Zoo's wildlife rehabilitation facility and Steve and Terri brave the flames to save their wildlife. Then, Doc and Helen travel to a remote outback town on a mercy flight to save an orphaned red kangaroo.

Steve and Wes revisit some of their adventures together, including the rescue of a joey and several venomous snakes. Steve, Wes and Terri battle to save the life of an injured Jabiru, and Terri is forced to decide the fate of an injured kangaroo.

Take a look at Australia's pouched mammals, the marsupials. Peter and Helen rescue a badly injured kangaroo. A wombat has the Zoo staff on the run while Peter cares for a bandicoot mauled by a cat. New female wombats arrive for a mating program.

It's mating season and the female alligators meet the Australian Zoo's first male gator, Barney. They hit it off swimmingly and produce the zoo's first hatchlings. Later, an injured black swan is rescued, cared for and released back into the wild.

Robbie the camel handler escapes serious injury when a camel nearly crushes her. A health scare for one camel signals the start of the mating season. Then, Kelsey and Darren assist a grumpy python with its skin shed and Steve rescues a booby bird.

Bruce the brolga escapes into the zoo on the eve of the zoo's biggest day. Despite the crowds, Little Frank and Toby have to rescue a barn owl from a crow attack. Also, world champion sprinter Marion Jones is introduced to the world's most venomous snake.

Steve realizes his dream of a bigger and better zoo. Construction begins on the Australia Zoo's massive expansion program and when complete, the venomous snakes, alligators and lizards are all moved into their new state of the art exhibits.
