Our favorite streets include Houston, Green, Spring, Prince, Broome, West Broadway and Mercer, then through Washington Square Park, down McDougall, over to Bleecker Street, and walk the High Line from one end to the other.

We're walking in lower Manhattan through the districts of the Lower East Side, East Village and Chinatown, Mott, Doyer, Mulberry, Pell, Hester and Canal Streets. In the East Village we stroll north along First Avenue and then meander down 7th Street and St. Mark's Place, ending up at Tompkins Square Park. You'll find authentic life in the streets down here, slightly off the beaten track.

Continuing back down Fifth we turn on 42nd Street, then to the Upper East Side. Midtown Manhattan is the commercial and visitor center of the city.
