Soho, Greenwich Village, and Chelsea are three of New York's best neighborhoods for walking, and in this video we're going to take you on a stroll through the area. Our favorite streets include Houston, Green, Spring, Prince, Broome, West Broadway and Mercer, then through Washington Square Park, down McDougall, over to Bleecker Street, and walk the High Line from one end to the other.

We're walking in lower Manhattan through the districts of the Lower East Side, East Village and Chinatown, Mott, Doyer, Mulberry, Pell, Hester and Canal Streets. In the East Village we stroll north along First Avenue and then meander down 7th Street and St. Mark's Place, ending up at Tompkins Square Park. You'll find authentic life in the streets down here, slightly off the beaten track.

Walking up 6th Avenue, down 5th, we will take a look at Madison, Lexington, Park Avenue, ice skating at Rockefeller Center, have a walk through Grand Central and admire the modern architecture of Midtown, including the Seagram's Building. Continuing back down Fifth we turn on 42nd Street, then to the Upper East Side. Midtown Manhattan is the commercial and visitor center of the city.

New York's Central Park is a beautiful pleasure ground of meadows, ponds, forests, and trails, nature at its best, which we see in summer and snow-covered winter; continuing to Time-Warner Center and Upper West Side, into Zabar's, the great food emporium. Then Amsterdam Avenue and across the park by bus.

We explore the fascinating chunk of Manhattan between 34th Street and 14th Street, less well-known but in many ways, the authentic, commercial heart of the city. We'll visit Union Square, Madison Square Park, the Flatiron District, Garmercy Park and walk you north to 34th Street and Penn Station.

Crossroads of the World, or perhaps it is center of the universe! Whatever you call it, Times Square is amazing, busy, crazy, the most visited place in the world, packed with over 131 million people each year - night and day, a mix of locals and visitors gathering for fun and entertainment, bombared by the bright lights.

Take a walk through the Financial District at the southern tip of Manhattan visiting: Wall Street, World Trade Center viewing deck in the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, Oculus, and National September 11 Memorial Museum.
