Dogs On the Job

It might be hard to look at a Chihuahua and see how it could have descended from the gray wolf, but this is where all dogs come from.

Americans love dogs, and we love telling stories about them. For years, dogs have entertained us with their intelligence and charm. Early on, troupes of costumed, performing dogs came into fashion, dancing, playing cards, and acting out “dog dramas” on stage. They eventually found a place in popular circuses, performing tricks and routines.

The Terrestrial Defense Force forms a Science Guard Party in order to investigate the cause of mysterious phenomena that continue to happen around the world. Choichiro Hikari, chosen for the Science Guard, is on his way back from Space Station EGG 3 when he encounters a mysterious red light.

A giant tornado appears that targets power plants and sucks energy out of them. Mutsumi goes to investigate with Marume and determines that the tornado is actually a monster, but the Bardy they're riding gets engulfed by the tornado. Hikari transforms into Joneus, and rushes into the tornado.

A monster Wanigodon, appears in the city and Marume takes it down singlehandedly. However, some of the monster's cells go flying and can't be found. These cells multiply at a rapid rate and within 25 hours could grow into a giant monster.

A strange red cloud appears, and the Science Guard Party goes to it in Super Murdock. They try to condense the cloud into water, but the cloud counterattacks as if it had a will of its own. Tobe tests a piece of the cloud he has managed to gather and determines that it is not simply a cloud, but a lifeform. It begins to rain, and the red cloud transforms into a monster and begins a rampage.

A mysterious incident happens where several thousand trees disappear from the forest in a single night. Henry Nishiki, a Science Guard Party member who has come to Japan from the Africa Zone begins investigating. They burrow underground in Passerger and reach an underground cave where they find Toughgilas, a monster that eats trees.
