When his father is beaten up, Simon questions his masculinity and what it means to 'be a man' in an ever-changing world. He throws himself into the deep end by becoming a bouncer at a rundown pub. Mentored by long-time bouncer Craig, Simon has a new father-figure to look up to. He soon realizes, however, that there are many more facets to being a man.
