In the first episode, Ken is stressed out at work over his "whining, complaining" patients so he schedules a therapy session with Allison, while back at home, Ken is nervous about Molly’s driving test - "What if she doesn't fail!"

Ken tries to keep Allison from accepting a job offer at the clinic – until he learns she doesn't want it anyway. As Dave conspires to keep their mom and dad from seeing Molly's SAT scores, Clark admits that he doesn't know what his boyfriend does for a living.

It's Allison's first day of work at Welltopia and she and Ken try to prove the other wrong when it comes to a patient's diagnosis.

Clark gets a promotion, but Ken doesn't even notice because of his selfishness, so Clark files a phony complaint that forces Ken to attend a seminar to correct his bedside manner, leaving Allison alone for dinner with Ken's parents.

A decree to work on Saturdays is met with contempt by the staff, so they choose Ken to talk Pat out of it, but the doctor is surprised to find his boss living on a boat in the driveway of his home. Meanwhile, Dave gets a new nickname at school that dredges up bad memories for Allison.

Ken is surprised to learn that Pat is replacing him as emcee of the HMO's annual banquet. Clark worries about how much Damona argues with her boyfriend, while Molly discovers that Dave has a stalker.

When an alarmed Ken finds out D.K. is divorced, he thinks it means his own marriage is doomed to failure.

Ken is thrown when he finds out that Allison's ex-boyfriend is an incredibly hot, successful Korean doctor. Meanwhile, Damona helps Julie with her networking skills.

Ken attempts to give Allison the proposal she never had. Meanwhile Molly enlists Dave's help to reconstruct Ken's prized model skeleton. At work, Julie accidentally drugs Pat.

When Allison worries that Dave's rejection of Halloween means he’s growing up too fast, D.K. looks to bring them together with an ancient Korean ghost story.

After a card game with his dad's friends exposes his inability to speak Korean, Ken (Ken Jeong) joins Dave (Albert Tsai) at his language class. Clark (Jonathan Slavin) and Pat (Dave Foley) square off over a new nurses' contract.

An overenthusiastic Ken goes overboard while attempting to teach Molly how to drink responsibly. Meanwhile, Allison comes to terms with the reality that she's not the fun parent. At work, Julie is frustrated that being a doctor is not like it is on TV.

As Dave is invited to present his new invention on Shark Tank, Molly hopes an internship at the HMO will boost her chances of admission to Stanford.

A visit from Ken's sister Wendi, a well-known doctor and TV host on a medical talk show, makes him secretly envious of her success, which brings out his petulant side when he's invited to be a guest on her program.

Allison plans a road trip to spend Thanksgiving with her parents, but is undermined by Ken.

As Allison is putting the final touches on a romantic Hawaiian holiday for two, Ken discovers that he never got his days off approved.

D.K. gets a new girlfriend, causing tension at home. Pat and Dave play father and son to land Pat a date. Damona and Clark ruin the spa day that Allison and Molly had planned.

At Thanksgiving with both of their families, Ken accuses Allison of prioritizing her Japanese heritage over his Korean roots.

Ken's love of basketball hasn't rubbed off on Dave, who would rather attend a city council meeting about California's drought than play in a game. Meanwhile, Allison is skeptical of letting Molly dress more provocatively; and Damona schemes to get more vacation days.
