Drop the Dead Donkey is a sitcom with a difference. Set in the newsroom of a commercial TV news station, the ten-part series lifts the lid on what really happens when the lights dim and the sound goes off in the newsroom, and the personal and professional rivalries of the news staff are played out against the highly individual and colourful backdrop of a news-gathering nerve centre.
