At dawn, a group of fishermen discovers the body of Abel, a prominent lawyer, tied to a sailboat's mast, dressed in BDSM gear. As detectives begin investigating the shocking murder, everyone becomes a suspect.

The investigation leads to Marta, the enigmatic owner of an exclusive BDSM club. Detectives soon learn her clientele includes the rich and powerful-and the victim, Abel, was a regular.

At the police station, Abel's son, Ernesto, meets the alluring BDSM club owner, Marta, and is instantly captivated by her sensuality. As he falls under Marta's spell, his girlfriend Ana Cristina takes refuge in her father's restaurant on the Faro Island.

The lead detectives on the case find themselves at odds. The veteran inspector, Mário, believes the motive is money, while his younger partner, Helena, is convinced it's all about sex.

Dr. Quintino and João Seabra, the real estate developers, are blackmailed with Abel's audio recordings that prove their corruption. Desperate to keep their project alive, they decide to pay up and use any means necessary to get the resort built.

The developers' intimidation tactics escalate when they burn down Zé Maria's restaurant, but their arson is secretly photographed. Ernesto reconciles with Ana Cristina and joins the fight.

In his personal quest for truth, Ernesto uncovers a dark family secret: his father Abel was an abusive monster. As high-level corruption stalls the official investigation, Marta tries to make a run for it back to Brazil, but is arrested at the airport.

Ernesto falsely confesses to his father's murder to free Zé Maria from prison. Unconvinced, Detective Helena digs deeper. Surprisingly, she uncovers that Marta's father died following a workers' uprising at his factory that was led by Abel decades ago.
