Shiro dedicates himself to being a man of justice. With the aid of his magical powers, he seeks to do good in the world, but becomes alarmed by the rise of violent crime.

After witnessing an act of violence, Shiro accidentally summons the most powerful Servant of all: Saber.

Rin discovers Shiro's ignorance of the most basic spells. Later, Shiro makes a decision to join the Holy Grail War.

After an attack that could have been fatal, Shiro heals himself and has a realization about who Saber is.

Shiro decides to finally introduce Saber to Sakura and Taiga with interesting results. Later, Rin unexpectedly attacks Shiro at school.

The Servant Rider almost kills Shiro. As a result, Rin and Shiro form a temporary alliance to find out who Rider's master is.

Saber insists on accompanying Shiro to school. Later, while trying to destroy the force fields at school, Shiro discovers who Rider's master is.

Rin decides to move in with Shiro until the danger dissipates, and Shiro and Saber still can't find a common ground.

Saber is attacked by an Assassin class card, while Rider faces off against a Caster class card. Will the ensuing fight force them to work together?

Shiro's first training session doesn't go well. Later, Rin gives Shiro a jewel to swallow, which allows him to turn on his power.

In a battle against Shinji, Shiro's death becomes imminent. Luckily, he is able to summon Saber before his time runs out.

In a battle against Shinji, Saber unleashes her Noble Phantasm, Excalibur. However, it leaves her depleted, and Shiro comes to her aid.

Shiro catches a glimpse into Saber's past. Later, Shiro is captured by Ilya who makes him an offer he adamantly refuses.

Archer battles Berserker to give Rin, Shiro, and Saber a chance to escape. Meanwhile, Rin's last Command Spell disappears, and Saber collapses.

Shiro gives part of his magical circuit to Saber so that she may replenish her mana. Shortly after, Ilya and Berserker return for a final match.

Berserker's powers are almost overwhelming. Has Shiro finally managed to find a weapon powerful enough to defeat Berserker?

Shiro decides to target the Casters at Ryudoji shrine. While they're gone, Sakura is captured by Caster to use as a sacrifice that will summon the Holy Grail.

Shiro, Rin, and Saber make an attempt to rescue Sakura and prevent the Holy Grail's summoning. Can they make it in time to save her life?

The tide of battle turns against their favor, but then an eighth servant suddenly appears. After Shiro and the others escape, Saber reveals the identity of the eighth servant.

Shiro finally realizes his feelings for Saber and invites her on a date. All goes well until the two get into a fight.

Shiro and Saber are attacked by the Servant Gilgamesh. Later, Shiro decides he wants Saber to stay after the war ends.

When Kirei orders Lancer and Gilgamesh to kill Shiro and Saber, Lancer makes the ultimate sacrifice so that the two can escape.

Shiro and Saber set out to defeat Kirei once and for all. While Shiro goes after Kirei, Saber battles Gilgamesh.

Shiro and Saber combine their powers to try and defeat Gilgamesh and Kirei, and Shiro orders Saber to destroy the Holy Grail.
