Flex and Shanice

While Flex procrastinates launching his comedy comeback, Shanice takes matters into her own hands by booking him a last-minute gig. Then, she tries to get her music back on track by creating an alter ego to "manage" her career.

Shanice is overwhelmed with recording a new album, managing her own career and being a mom, but when she turns to Crystal for support, her mom isn't exactly helpful. Meanwhile, Flex dusts off his '90s dance moves, mortifying Imani in front of her friends.

After booking a gig, Shanice learns some new moves to accompany her new music. Will her new sound be a hit with the audience? Meanwhile, Flex's stand-up is at a bit of a stand still, and he must choose between his work and his wife when a director calls.

Flex tries to convince a friend to let him perform at his big-time comedy club, but he might not be ready for the big leagues. Meanwhile, everything comes to a halt for Shanice when she receives news that could blow her comeback.

Shanice finally lands a meeting with the producer she's been courting, but if she and Flex are having a baby, will her comeback stall out? Meanwhile, Mike makes a bold move to get the family to stop bleeding money, and Cousin Ed faces an irrational fear.

Shanice checks her ego at the door to hook a new manager, as NY scouts have their eye on Flex. Imani decides to run for student body president, while Uncle Spirit tries to get Elijah to connect with his culture by taking him on a magical mystery tour.

Flex plans a family camping trip, but when an offer comes in from a fellow comedian for him to perform in New York, it forces city girl Shanice and the rest of their brood to fend for themselves in the great outdoors.

After Shanice records a stunning duet and Flex books a six-city comedy tour, their windfall prompts them to host a massive party. When the festivities get going, however, Flex gets a call that sends him into a major tailspin.

When his comedy tour falls through, Flex hustles to find new income, and Shanice pitches her onesie line to an investor. Meanwhile, Ruba has a rocky start to his web series, and, feeling disrespected by Flex, Crystal storms out.

Shanice's old friend shows up looking to crash and stirs up trouble. Flex has an important meeting move up, but there's no one to watch the kids. Ruba shoots his web series with guest Glozell, and Crystal is enjoying her new freedom a little too much.

After Imani's 13th birthday bash, Flex and Shanice hit Atlanta, and Atlanta hits back. With her parents gone, Imani tricks Crystal into helping her deceive Flex, while Ruba and Brooklyn's small party turns into an all-out blowout -- including the police.

After Ruba's party leads to a brush with the law, Flex and Shanice return to get the house back in order. Meanwhile, Spirit tries to get in tune with a tuned-out Brooklyn, and Crystal's broken heart lands her in urgent care.

Shanice's producer attempts to give her a new look, while Flex's sexy calendar shoot threatens to get him in trouble. Meanwhile, Imani has questions following her sexual-education class, much to a flustered Ruba's discomfort.

Flex's mother visits, throwing a wrench in his Comic-Con plans. Mali works her magic and gets Shanice in the studio with Ne-Yo. Imani gets a makeover from a celebrity stylist on an episode of In Bed With Ruba, and the family has a special dinner guest.

Shanice has a breakthrough with Mali and Needlz in the studio before rushing off to the premiere party for her onesie line. Flex and Crystal bump heads when Imani books herself a babysitting gig, and emotions run high when Elijah is left home alone.

Flex's graphic novel party doesn't go quite as planned, and Shanice is met with a career offer she can't refuse. Meanwhile, Ruba finds out he has a brother, and Flex is mistaken when he thinks he has the upper hand on Crystal.
