A Belgian psychiatrist tends to a mysterious and traumatized girl. Meanwhile Dutch police investigate a shooting on a ship, not realizing a potential connection between the two cases.

As Bert and Tara grow closer in the face of danger, information comes to light about her past and the vicious human traffickers, the “Lorrendraaiers”.

Tara and Bert struggle to unearth the conspiracy as they hunt for the shady “Admiral” who leads the smugglers, encountering resistance at every turn.

As a picture emerges about Afi and Shirin’s similar pasts, chaos ensues amongst the traffickers as one of their own turns traitor and the Admiral’s identity is put at risk.

While Bert is held to account by the police for misconduct, tension mounts in the gang as to who will replace the Admiral to become their next leader.

With Bert on the run from the police and every action Tara takes seeming to cause more tragedy, a final showdown is looming.

As the different pieces of the puzzle start to come together, Bert finds himself in a dangerous situation once again, with his own life at risk.

With the mysteries of the past exposed, the time has come to settle old scores; although Tara is desperate to save Bert and the refugees, the Lorrendraaiers have a price to pay.
