Food Network Star

Former finalists return to the Food Network Star kitchen for a second shot at stardom! The alumni each take on a retro dessert in desperate need of a comeback and shoot an Instagram video about their updated version.

For the Mentor Challenge, the competitors use forgotten pantry ingredients in a creative and modern way. For the Star Challenge, the finalists go head-to-head, traveling back in time to create a decade-appropriate dish.

The final five competitors hack a classic salad bar to create a dish and share it on Instagram. For the final challenge, the last four competitors create a dinner party and a video invitation to attract potential dinner guests.

Twelve hopefuls arrive at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles in search of their big break. Giada and Bobby greet them with news that they must pass another big audition, and they learn one more person is joining the competition.

The finalists separate into teams to host a party celebrating Disney's Beauty and the Beast. The teams decorate a serving station and cook a dish for a ballroom full of guests, and two chefs from the losing team are sent home.

The ten finalists divide into two teams to create a 5-course menu for an experiential restaurant, and then each finalist makes a video menu describing their dish for the diners. Tyler Florence joins Giada and Bobby as guest judge.

The finalists arrive at a campsite and must use whatever camping food is in the back of their cars to create a "glamping" meal. Judges Giada De Laurentiis, Melissa d'Arabian and Andrew Zimmern choose the winner.

The finalists create Instagram Stories about budget shopping, with guest Hannah Hart helping Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay judge their efforts. Then they perform problem-solving segments from The Kitchen's Sunny Anderson.

It's halfway through the competition, so it's time for midterms! Tiffani Thiessen helps Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay judge the finalists' efforts as they each host a summer social gathering for a crowd of people in a park.

The finalists go head-to-head to determine who will take on the master himself, Bobby Flay.

The finalists must live stream a 15-minute weeknight meal on social media.

The four remaining finalists partake in their own segment of a special called "Up Your Game (Day)." ESPN's Jemele Hill and special guest Jaymee Sire watch the special to help decide which finalist goes down in defeat.

Eliminated chefs battle for the chance to return to Food Network Star.

The last four competitors must cook the dish of their lives for the chance to film a pilot. Former Food Network Star winner Eddie Jackson helps select the three finalists, who then shoot pilots directed by Guy Fieri.

Giada and Bobby watch pilots for the three finalists and choose a competitor to be the next Food Network Star.
