Four Seasons

On Cornwall"s coast lies Endellion, the magnificent estate of the Combe family, headed by Alex and his sons: financier Stephen and laidback Charles. Life there is upended when Julia, Stephen"s ex-wife, returns many years after a forced separation from her daughter, Charlotte, who later committed suicide after birthing a baby, Abby. As Julia and Abby bond, they contend with Stephen"s intrigues.

As the leaves in Endellion"s park begin to fall, so do the barriers between Julia and her granddaughter, Abby, as well as between Julia and Charles. An angry Stephen gives an ultimatum to Abby, who faces more heartache when she discovers her boyfriend"s infidelity. But the embers of one romance may spark the flame of another. Meanwhile, Julia begins investigating Charlotte"s disappearance.

Endellion rejoices at the news that Abby has accepted Tom"s marriage proposal, while Julia rushes off to London, convinced that a pianist performing there is her daughter, Charlotte. When the extended family is reunited, tensions are palpable all around, but none are more hostile than those between father and daughter. Reeling from the emotional turmoil, the Combes soon get another shock.

War breaks out between the brothers when they learn that their father has left Endellion to Charles instead of Stephen, the elder son. Stephen"s fury and hurt lead him to a nervous breakdown—and perhaps a change of heart. Charlotte, meanwhile, has become pregnant by the notoriously unreliable Simon, and Abby"s future with Tom is in doubt. Will the Combes find happiness at Endellion once again?
