TV producer Rainer (Moritz Bleibtreu) creates dull soap operas, talk shows and game shows. He's good at it but he can only tolerate his job with the help of cocaine. When a young woman deliberately crashes into his car, he begins to realise that his TV shows have a negative impact on society. He begins his war against the ratings-obsessed entertainment industry.
