In the season five premiere, Jim Gordon & Bruce face the chaos Gotham City has become as villains resurface to claim their territories. Selina grapples with an uncertain future.

While Bruce looks into an alleged witch to heal Selina, Nygma deals with his own demons, and Barbara proves to be an unlikely ally to Gordon as gangs rule the streets.

With the creation of Haven as a safe place for refugees, Gordon hopes to stop the gangs in Gotham. Meanwhile, Selina is determined to find Jeremiah and convinces Bruce to help her.

Gordon and Penguin are forced to work together, when Haven comes under attack. Meanwhile, Selina continues her quest for revenge against Jeremiah (CAMERON MONAGHAN).

A military task force, led by Eduardo Dorrance (SHANE WEST) arrives in Gotham. Meanwhile, Nygma looks for answers from Penguin, who leads him back to Hugo Strange (BD WONG).

While Gordon assembles an unlikely team to protect Gotham from Dorrance, Selina & Penguin team up to outsmart fellow villain Magpie. And Lee Thompkins (MORENA BACCARIN) resurfaces.

A very much alive Jeremiah returns and organizes a twisted recreation of the murder of Bruce’s parents with the help of Jervis Tetch aka Mad Hatter (BENEDICT SAMUEL).

While Bruce and Alfred explore the tunnels beneath the city, Bullock’s past comes back to haunt him when he and Gordon investigate two murders at Sirens.

After Gordon is shot, he hallucinates a trial for his life that could have deadly real consequences. Meanwhile, Ivy returns and puts her spell on Bruce.

While a pregnant Barbara turns to Lee for help, Gordon and Bruce find themselves face-to-face with a newly transformed Eduardo… and the real mastermind behind the city’s chaos.

As Bane enacts his final plan for Gotham’s destruction, Gordon rallies his former enemies to save the city. And Bruce’s decision to leave Gotham devastates Selina.

In the series finale, Gotham flash-forwards a decade into the future, as Bruce Wayne returns to him home. With Penguin & Riddler up to their old tricks, the Dark Knight arrives.
