In the season four premiere, Gordon fears Jonathan Crane/The Scarecrow is back in Gotham; meanwhile, Penguin’s licensing of crime in the city backfires.

Under pressure to prove the GCPD is still in control, Gordon attempt to bring in Jonathan Crane, but puts himself in a dangerous situation at Arkham.

Taking matters into his own hands, Gordon travels to Miami to persuade Carmine Falcone to fight against Penguin. Carmine’s daughter, Sofia, follows him back to Gotham.

Bruce Wayne puts lives in danger in an attempt to uncover the meaning behind the auctioned knife, while Ra’s al Ghul proves he’ll take deadly measures to get what he wants.

Nygma comes face to face with Butch Gilzean, but he is not who he used to be. Sofia Falcone appeals to Penguin to protect her life. And Bruce takes bold actions with the dagger.

Gordon & Bullock are hot on the trail of a serial killer. Meanwhile, Sofia tries to win over Penguin, and Nygma, Thompkins & Grundy find a home at Cherry’s place.

Gordon and Bullock head into the Narrows looking for clues leading to Professor Pyg (MICHAEL CERVERIS). Bruce meets a former friend (SAMIE FINNERTY).

With Grundy and Nygma as main attractions at Cherry’s Place in the Narrows, Penguin wants revenge on Nygma when he learns he’s been mocking him.

Sofia Falcone (CRYSTAL REED) and Penguin plan a fundraiser, but Professor Pyg shows up as the chef. And Bruce’s wild side gets in the way of his relationship with Alfred.

While Gordon tries to broker a deal with Penguin that involves Sophia, Lee Thompkins gains more control over the Narrows.

Things get complicated for Gordon, Sophia and Penguin when Carmine Falcone (JOHN DOMAN) returns to Gotham. Meanwhile, a familiar smile resurfaces.

While Lee tries to rebuild the Narrows with Nygma as her partner, Alfred’s new life becomes complicated; and Ivy (PEYTON LIST) reveals her new form to Selina.

While Jerome (CAMERON MONAGHAN) becomes obsesses with Penguin at Arkham, Gordon begins to second guess his deal with Sofia.

While Ivy picks her next target, Selina tries to take matters into her own hands. Wanting full control of Gotham, Sofia turns to Lee about the Narrows. Nygma visits Arkham.

Penguin, Lee and Nygma enlist an unlikely ally as they seek revenge, and Selina asks Bruce for a favor to help rid her of her guilt over Ivy.

Arkham’s “finest” give Gordon and Bullock a run for their money, as they hatch a plan to escape the asylum. Bruce makes plans of his own to thwart their plans.

While Gordon & Bullock try to stay one step ahead of Jerome, Nygma hosts a riddle gameshow in the Narrows; and Penguin comes to Butch with a proposal.

Still running free in Gotham, the Arkham inmates are getting more difficult to catch. Gordon develops a plan, but reluctantly turns to Bruce for help.

Gordon & Bullock look into the thief behind the robberies of various bank branches in Gotham. Meanwhile, Barbara is in danger, forcing Tabitha to recruit help.

Chaos erupts at the GCPD, sending Gordon for the culprit behind the mass takeover. Meanwhile, a friend of Bruce’s becomes paranoid, and destructive.

As Gotham falls into complete anarchy, a team of unlikely heroes steps up to save it. While Bullock takes the lead at the GCPD, Bruce’s psychological limits are tested.

In the season finale, Jeremiah warns Gordon of more destruction to come, while Barbara rallies together a team and Bruce comes to terms with the future.
