Just as troubled medium Roman Mercer prepares to leave the one-horse town of Port Moore, an earthquake strikes the Alaskan island and awakens a supernatural force hell-bent on destruction.

Charming and roguish smuggler Billy sails into Port Moore to find his hometown still disturbed by recent events. As he moves to distribute his latest shipment, his beloved boat and only escape is overtaken by a presence of his past.

Pragmatic research scientist Landis Barker self-experiments to quantify the haunting of a Lambda Technologies branch in Port Moore after a particle accelerator test goes horribly wrong and the entire building goes into lockdown.

As churchgoers flourish in numbers, Reverend Dan soothes the anxieties of the townspeople. But when the hauntings escalate to a possession of a young boy, Dan wrestles with the thought of performing an unsanctioned exorcism.

The town leans on sceptical and steadfast handyman Doug after Port Moore's social structure begins to collapse. But when Doug's dead daughter persuades Roman to deliver a message, Doug's well-being rapidly deteriorates, sending him over the edge.

As Val organizes a civil defense force to protect the town, her twin daughter Abigail goes missing. Jimmy leads the charge to find the young girl, employing Roman's medium skills and anyone else who's willing to set foot in the treacherous forest on the outskirts of town.

A power outage sends Port Moore into a tailspin. The ghosts are somehow stronger, prompting Roman, Jimmy, Landis and Doug to trek up to the dam to get the power back on fast. But a long-buried town secret threatens to tear the group apart.

With his body in critical condition, Jimmy's spirit becomes trapped in the nightmarish ghost realm. As he tries to get back to his body, Roman pursues Dan, looking for answers about his mother's death.

An arrival from Lambda headquarters gives the town hope for the first time in weeks. The company distributes supplies, promising to get everyone off the island in due course. While the eccentric young CEO Daphne Vikander takes great interest in Roman, Landis suspects she has unsavory designs for the townspeople's future.

Lambda's attempts to experiment on their confiscated pod go awry when a grotesque Norm emerges from the ghost vessel and unleashes havoc on all in his path. A monster hunt begins.

Norm steps up to bat when Karla finds herself with child and it's growing fast. Meanwhile, Val and Marilyn turn to Lambda to investigate their daughter's condition.

Roman, Landis and Jimmy make a deal with the devil just as civil unrest breaks out among the townies. The commotion evolves into mutiny as the mob pursues our heroes.

The last of the Port Moore survivors draw straws in preparation for their final battle, a quest to blow open death's door from inside the ghost realm. The catch is that to beat the ghosts, they have to die.
