Golden Time

After finally making his anticipated college debut, Tada Banri gets lost in the unfamiliar streets of Tokyo. While lost, he encounters Yanagisawa Mitsuo in a similar situation, and they head to campus together when a car stops in front of them and out steps the beautiful Kaga Koko with a bouquet of roses.

While enjoying a friendly conversation with his classmate Oka Chinami, he realizes the group next door is making quite a lot of noise. Ignoring the warnings of those around him, the moment Banri looks in on his neighbors, a tipsy Sao-chan and Shi-chan appear and drag him into the tea club's party from hell.

After briefly greeting 2D-kun at the meeting place, the students are loaded into vans and the group departs. However, the vans pass by the seminar house the students were told they would be staying at and proceed deeper into the mountains. Where are they talking Banri and the others...?!

While lost in the moutains, Banri and Koko are saved by Linda-senpai, who happened to be in the area for the festival club's overnight trip, and safely return to Tokyo. When Banri arrives at school the next day, he finds a worried 2D-kun and his friends waiting for him.

Banri receives Koko's response to his confession after he returns from his trip home. The next day, Banri is unsure how to respond to Koko's unwonted enthusiasm, but Yanagisawa continues ignoring her.

Banri receives a pair of sneakers from Linda-senpai. Koko senses something off about the exchange and asks Banri about it, but he dodges her question. Banri and Koko decide to accept Chinami's invitation to her party, but they end up sitting with Yanagisawa and the atmosphere becomes uncomfortable.

After her desperate confession, Koko is taken in by the police for stealing a bicycle. She is released shortly afterward without serious consequences, but is scolded harshly by her father.

Koko is worried when Yanagisawa leaves campus early and asks Banri to check on him for her. Banri goes to check on Yanagisawa and is shocked by the filthy state of his room.

Banri becomes worried when Koko skips class for days because of a cold. While Koko returns to school without completely recovering, she attends the festival club's practice.

With an injury and a high fever, Banri tries to go to the hospital alone but runs out of strength in front of his apartment. Nana-senpai finds him, and with her help Banri is examined at a hospital. When he returns home, he finds Linda waiting for him.

Banri discusses going as a couple to the beach over summer break with the upperclassmen of the festival club and is told he needs money first. When he tells Koko he wants to work, she rejects his idea, saying they would have less time together. However, behind Koko's back, Banri and Yanagisawa accept a job from Nana-senpai, and...?

As the night wears on, the party heats up. Banri and Linda run into each other and burst out laughing when they see how the other is dressed. When the guests ask to take their picture, they put their arms around each other's shoulders and strike various poses, feeling elated amidst the flashes. Suddenly, before them appears...!?

Summer first event, the Awa dance festival, arrives. Amidst the excitement generated by the numerous participants, the upperclassmen of the festival club inform Banri about a problem that is occurring.

Does Yanagisawa have a girlfriend?! Based on this suspicion, Banri, Koko, and 2D-kun lie in wait outside Chinami's house. However, they are discovered by Chinami and invited to inside. When they learn of Chinami's family situation and that she will have to begin living alone, they decide to go to the beach to cheer the sad girl up. Later, as they head to dinner, they witness an unexpected sig...

It's a perfect day to go to the beach. 2D-kun heads to pick up everyone in the car, but Banri, Koko, and Chinami are late. They finally manage to pick up Yanagisawa, but they fall later and later behind schedule due to traffic, and everyone is extremely annoyed and exhausted by the time they arrive. What does Banri do in order to lighten the mood?!

On the way home from the beach, Koko falls asleep behind the wheel and gets in an accident. Chinami suffers only a minor injury, but Koko is deeply shocked by the trouble she caused. After that day, Koko stops communicating with everyone. Representing his worried friends, Banri heads to her house directly and sees...?

In a building near the riverbed where the summer festival will be held, Banri arrives early to help prepare for a festival club party.

While Banri heads home to attend a high school reunion, Koko finds herself unable to stand her loneliness and sneaks into Banri's apartment where she pours her love out to his bed and pillow. Embarassed when Nana-senpai discovers her, Koko begs her not to tell Banri.

Banri returns from his hometown. At his welcome back party, Yanagisawa reveals to everyone his plan to film the festival club for the school festival and get closer to Linda.

Banri wonders how he should give Koko the ring his mother gave him. Meanwhile, Yanagisawa has begun filming the festival club, but is disappointed when he is unable to speak with Linda.

The events of the previous day's festival leaves the festival club depressed. Terrified his memories will return and his present self will disappear and unable to tell his friends, Banri is anxious.

Banri is stunned by Koko's sudden request. Koko's father gives Banri a ride home in his car, but unable to bounce back, Banri sits in front of his house. When Nana-senpai comes along, she urges Banri to talk to Koko again. The next morning, Koko interacts with a motivated Banri with her usual cheerful demeanor.

Banri and Koko make a certain promise and begin preparing for the school festival with everyone else. Meanwhile, Yanagisawa distances himself from Banri. Sensing the strange energy between Banri, Koko, and Yanagisawa, 2D-kun plans to get everyone together for an honest chat to stop the group from falling apart.

With the school festival over, Banri reverts completely to his former self and takes a break from school to return home to the countryside. While he learns he was a college student in Tokyo, he can't clearly remember anything.
