Grandma's House

When Simon (Simon Amstell) tells his mother Tanya (Rebecca Front) that he's quitting the entertainment show he presents, she is less than happy. Meanwhile, Simon struggles to make Tanya realize that her new boyfriend Clive (James Smith) might not be the right man for her.

Simon has brought his mother an extravagant gift for her birthday which she refuses to accept. It's Liz's (Samantha Spiro) birthday but nobody seems to care and Grandad (Geoffrey Hutching) has news from the doctors.

Simon has fallen in love with the actor Ben Theodore and starts to believe that he might be able to control the universe after reading a book. The family aren't very impressed with either.

Simon is having a life crisis and the situation becomes exacerbated when a guest he interviewed on his show attacks him in the press. Meanwhile Grandma (Linda Bassett) and Grandpa are planning a cruise.

Simon has been on a life changing course and has decided it's his job to heal the family. He starts by giving his granddad an exercise ball. Tanya has had a realization that maybe Clive isn't the man for her.

When Grandpa is taken ill, it's unsure whether Tanya and Clive will be able to get married. Grandma takes on the responsibility of trying to resolve the situation but does she give them the right advice?
