Oliver and Lisa discover a root cellar under their house and become trapped when it collapses in on them. Their only hope to get rescued rides on a hilarious game of charades between Arnold the pig and Mr. Drucker.

Oliver has been invited to give a speech at the Bar Association. He is there to advocate for the hiring of ex-convicts. He eventually ends up regretting his speech when he is forced to hire an ex-convict by the name of Willie Dunhill.

Oliver's crops are getting stomped on by Irene the cow. In his frustration, he fires a shotgun to scare Irene away. Instead the blast leads to a hilarious misunderstanding among Lisa, Eb and a life-sized fiberglass cow.

Oliver is insistent that he and Lisa have a romantic Sunday afternoon picnic, all alone. His romantic gesture for two turns into a picnic for the entire town. Finally, Oliver finds them a romantic refuge in a most unlikely place.

When Lisa's Uncle Fedor comes to visit her at the farm, he is visibly upset. He claims that someone is following him. Indeed, Fedor is convinced that the Secret Police are out to steal back a valuable scientific formula, which only he knows.
