Lisa's "Mudder" pays a surprise visit to Lisa and Oliver. Eb good-naturedly introduces her as the Queen of Sicily. As a result, the entire town treats her like royalty. They even go so far as to hold a special day in her honor.

Lisa's mother has had enough of her son-in-law Oliver. She is packed and ready to be out of his life for now, until Mr. Haney and Uncle Joe Carson learn she is filthy rich and try to gain her affection.

Arnold Ziffel, Hooterville's beloved swine is thought to have rightful claim to a $20,000 fortune. The Birnbacher pork empire has promised that the descendant of the famous weather-predicting pig, Herman, will inherit the vast sum.

Oliver, Lisa and Eb travel to Chicago with Arnold to prove the pig is the rightful heir to the Birnbacher pork empire. Will this pig get rich? Arnold makes a surprising prediction that baffles all, including all the lawyers involved.

When Oliver returns home with Arnold, the citizens in town hold a large reception for Arnold. But when Oliver receives a phone call from a lawyer representing an eccentric relative of the Birnbachers, the riches go into question.

Oliver is mad over the town's dirt road, especially when he finds out that the state set aside money over thirty years ago to fix it. Oliver goes to the Capitol to get the road paved but hits a roadblock when the Ziffels' house must be torn down.

Lisa foretells of a mysterious stranger that will appear into Oliver's life. Enter Tadpole Talbot, Eb's childhood friend who has become a singing sensation. Tadpole has convinced Eb to go out on the road with him and join his band as a roadie.

Oliver become alarmed that the youth of his beloved town, Hooterville is dwindling so he calls an emergency town meeting to prevent them from leaving. The next thing Oliver knows is that his barn has been volunteered for the new youth center.

Oliver attempts to pick up a letter that has arrived for him. He and Lisa end up traveling all over the valley to track it down in neighboring Pixley but not before they encounter the set of twins behind the counter at the Pixley post office.

Oliver is asked to speak at the local high school about his illustrious law career and makes quite an impression on student Kathy Baxter. Oliver must contend with Kathy's fawning as well as her jealous boyfriend is not very happy with Oliver.

Hank Kimball proposes marriage to lady carpenter Ralph Monroe while under the influence of heavy medication. Lisa plans an amazing country wedding only to find out that, Sam, the Justice of the Peace, has forgotten to new his license.

Oliver plants his crops, worrying that they haven't been planted in time for a harvest. Lisa tries to be helpful and mixes up a batch of sour lemonade. Oliver pours out the bitter elixir in the newly planted field, with an unimaginable consequence.

Sam Drucker does not stock any cosmetics in his store, much to the chagrin of Lisa. Lisa decides to set up a "small" display in the store. When the merchandise is delivered, it forces Mr. Drucker to retreat to the front porch.

Mr. Haney discovers an old wish book dating back to 1898 that tells the story of Calvin and Tessie Whittaker who once owned the Douglases' farm and how Calvin traveled to Hollywood to pitch his idea of putting a mouse named Dickey into films.

Oliver's friend, Mort, pays a visit to get away from the rat race of the big city. Once there, however, things are anything but calm. In less than a day, Mort is ready to flee from Lisa's strong coffee, and a TV-watching pig!

Oliver and Lisa discover a root cellar under their house and become trapped when it collapses in on them. Their only hope to get rescued rides on a hilarious game of charades between Arnold the pig and Mr. Drucker.

Oliver goes to New York to finish up a case at his old firm. Meanwhile back on the farm, Lisa and Eb find a puppy left on the doorstep. Lisa, in all her innocence, leads Oliver to believe the puppy, affectionally named Freddie, is a human baby.

Oliver has been invited to give a speech at the Bar Association. He is there to advocate for the hiring of ex-convicts. He eventually ends up regretting his speech when he is forced to hire an ex-convict by the name of Willie Dunhill.

Oliver's crops are getting stomped on by Irene the cow. In his frustration, he fires a shotgun to scare Irene away. Instead the blast leads to a hilarious misunderstanding among Lisa, Eb and a life-sized fiberglass cow.

Oliver has become the new School Board President. Unfortunately, Oliver's first day on the job is anything but smooth. Arnold the pig is expelled from his duties as the school's mascot, and Fred Ziffel implores Oliver to defend Arnold.

After receiving a tax refund from the IRS, Oliver inspires his fellow citizens to make similar requests. There's only one problem... those making requests haven't paid their taxes! Nevertheless, the IRS mistakenly sends out half a million dollars!

Oliver is insistent that he and Lisa have a romantic Sunday afternoon picnic, all alone. His romantic gesture for two turns into a picnic for the entire town. Finally, Oliver finds them a romantic refuge in a most unlikely place.

Local boy Dinky Watson has one heck of a story to tell anyone who will listen. When Dinky convinces Lisa to buy a "moon rock" for the considerable sum of $14, Oliver suspects that she is the victim of a practical joke.

When Lisa's Uncle Fedor comes to visit her at the farm, he is visibly upset. He claims that someone is following him. Indeed, Fedor is convinced that the Secret Police are out to steal back a valuable scientific formula, which only he knows.
