Hercules sets out to help a village plagued by deadly fumes from the underworld. Joined by Iole, he faces treachery from a friend, seduction from the supposedly innocent Iole and puts his beloved wife Deianeira in mortal danger. When he enters the underworld to save his wife, he strikes a deal with Hades to capture Cerberus so they can return to the living world.
