Rocky and Mayur start at the foothills of the Himalayas at the Jim Corbett National Park. From a desi dinner at a resort meal to the sounds of a babbling brook, to a home- made meal at the home of a park employee, this episode of Highway On My Plate Hills shows you what to do in Jim Corbett Park besides spotting tigers.

With blessings from Sheetla Devi temple at Kathgodam, Rocky and Mayur head to Lee's Kitchen for a delicious Indian-Chinese meal and a lesson in making noodles.

After an auspicious start to their journey at Kainchidham, Rocky and Mayur move higher up the hills of Uttarakhand to taste pahadi food which includes a delicious mix of Almora specialities and to take blessings from Nanda Devi.

After tasting the delicious mutton chops at Prem Restaurant in Ranikhet, Rocky and Mayur head to Kausani "Switzerland of India', where they eat a sumptuous meal with the Nanda Devi range as a backdrop.

After trying the mint chicken, kappa (saag), gudhiyari and the pink dadim juice made of pomegranate at the Misty Mountain in Jhaltola, our foodie duo head off to Patal Bhuvneshwar. From the depths of the underground temple to the cool heights of Abbott Mount, Rocky and Mayur then reach Loha Ghat to shop for utensils that will never burn their food.

After starting their food adventure at Judge's Court in Pragpur, where they witness the best of Kangra cuisine - the sour Kadu Daal, the Khata meat, the slightly bitter palda to the very sweet Meetha Newara, Rocky and Mayur continue their journey further up the hills in Himachal Pradesh, but not before seeking the blessings of Jwaladevi, at the Jwalamukhi temple.

Rocky and Mayur's religion is food. And that takes them to McLeodganj, where Mayur discovers the meaning of organic food and samples aspicy watermelon curry, while Rocky attacks a mango chicken and a tandoori trout. But McLeodganj has a lot more to offer. A visit to the Chocolate Log where Cheryl gives them a taste of delicious cakes coupled with a lot of hugs.

Rocky and Mayur reach the Kangra valley to meet the "Katrina Kaif of all rice", and while Mayur chomps down on the local vegetable called langdu, Rocky digs into a combination of mutton and mint. Also they discover the best way to wash down a big meal - a cup of tea, brewed fresh at the tea estate.

Rocky and Mayur are having a side order of art in the tiny village of Gunehr, where they get a chance to meet artists from not only India but also from around the world. Along with a home cooked meal at the Four Tables Restaurant, a breakfast on the banks of the Beas, and lots of fresh fruits, our foodie travellers also take a tour of a pickle, jam and fruit wine factory.

Rocky and Mayur "bee"-gin their journey at an apiary in Katrain, where not only do they learn about bee-keeping, but also understand how living in India is very similar to life in the hive. Next, they stop to smell the roses at the Rose Garden in Vashisht, as well as bite into some authentic Italian dishes. Also they meet one of India's rising sport stars.

Our intrepid travellers Rocky and Mayur start their journey in Kullu, known for its warm shawls and furry Angora rabbits who make some of the softest wool in the world.

From the 60 year old channa-infused goodness of Sitaram and Son's to the sweet doodh-jalebi and savoury pav bhaji that crossed a century of service at Mehru’s on the lower Mall, our gourmand guides try it all. Also they taste food at Shimla's one of the new eateries catering to the younger generation – Wake and Bake.

Rocky and Mayur are on their way to Chail, the Maharaja of Patiala's summer capital. But before they head towards their royal repast, they are making a stop in the tiny village of Junedghat, which has a small population but a really big appetite.
