Horror In The East

The years leading up to World War II saw huge changes occurring in Japan. After a period where the nation was encouraged to embrace the West and its values, a growing population required attaining natural resources by any means necessary. Japan decided to follow the West’s example and start an empire building program. But to realize their goals, they turned to an unlikely ally: Nazi Germany.

During the years leading up to World War II, the citizens of Japan were encouraged to look upon their Emperor as a god. This divine loyalty to their leader was transferred to the battlefield, where soldiers and Kamikaze pilots were willing to fight to the death rather than face defeat or capture. As the allies gained the upper hand, the self-destructive tactics of the Japanese grew more extreme.
