When James King comes home with his newly married wife, he is caught off guard to find his ex wife Karyn still there with no plans on leaving.

When James' new wife Lisa has her birthday, James makes a mess of it by giving her a birthday gift he once gave his ex wife Karyn.

James is surprised when his college friend and rival shows up to do an interview for the magazine. James goes overboard trying to impress him.

James tries to stand up to his ex wife by letting their son Deon do stand up, while almost creating world war three. Mean while Karyn's mom Viola is back on the dating scene getting her grove back.

James calls Lisa, Karyn before they get it on which makes her upset. Meanwhile, Xavier thinks his girl's suspicious behavior means she's cheating and spies on her. Turns out she's planning a surprise date for him.

Lisa makes James and Karyn see a therapist, who has a unique way of keeping their family together. Only problem is, the therapist is using his own life experiences as a former pimp to help them.

When Lisa's father comes to town, James must ask him for Lisa's hand in marriage, all while pretending they aren't married already!

James has the opportunity of a lifetime to interview the hottest new lady rapper in the industry, but due to a mix up in scheduling, the office is being fumigated and he must do the interview in his living room with everyone home.

James and Karyn get into an argument about who can go the longest without telling a lie and they both find it's a lot harder than it seems.

When James' long time friend comes in town, he becomes a threat to James' best friend Xavier. He also might be the downfall of the whole family.
