When archaeologist Roxane goes to inspect a Mayan mask, she ends up in a situation she could have never foreseen. She wakes up half-naked, next to the corpse of a murdered man.

8 years later Roxane is free. Adamant to prove her innocence, she delves into the past and questions an old colleague. Lieutenant Combas investigates the old case files.

Roxane asks Alexis to help her investigate the Ortizes. Despite being engaged to Ines Ortiz, Alexis’s suspicions get the better of him and he agrees to help…a decision he comes to regret.

Roxane gains custody of her daughter, Alma, but the reunion is not how Roxane imagined and she soon realizes just how deep Alma’s hatred for her runs. Alexis’s lost evidence is recovered.

After attempting to record Pablo’s confession, Roxane finds herself in grave danger. Upon realizing that her brother, Pablo, killed her fiance, Ines attacks him.

Once again Roxane wakes up to being accused of murder--this time, Pablo’s. Even Combas is beginning to have his doubts about her innocence until he receives a phone call from Alma.
