Iyanla: Fix My Life

IIyanla Vanzant invites eight women to move into a House of Healing. These women have all been labeled as "Angry Black Women." It is Iyanla's intention to prove that this stereotype is inaccurate, untrue and dangerous. Part one of four.

Iyanla invites the women of the House of Healing to try and let go of the pain and hurt that they've carried with them throughout their lives. This pain manifests as inappropriate behavior that results in them being labeled as "angry black women."

Iyanla invites four black men into the House of Healing and asks them to defend their choice to date outside their race. Later, the women explain to the guys why they harbor such pain and trust issues toward the men in their lives.

In the final episode of this four-part special event, emotions run high as the women prepare to leave the House of Healing and return to their normal lives, possibly jeopardizing Iyanla's mission to dispel the myth of the "Angry Black Woman."

The Henry family is in crisis. The father is a serial cheater addicted to drugs, alcohol and other women, while the mother is a numb, emotionally unavailable woman seeking counsel and comfort from their two daughters.
