Jacob's Cross English Version

Jacob is appointed CEO of a company. His friend Prospero encourages him to seize this opportunity. His mother advises him instead to stay away from the Aboyami family. Folacé, the daughter of Chief Abayomi, takes it upon himself to convince him. He decides to go to Lagos to meet Abayomi there.

Abayomi reveals to her daughter that Jacob is also her son. Assaulted by his son Bola, Abayomi decides to leave Lagos. Jacob goes to prison with his mother to welcome his brother Andile who is coming out. His family gives him a cold reception. His wife chases him away. He returns to live with his brother.

Lerato is pregnant. Jacob wanted to break up with her and sees his plan upset. Prospero does not like Abayomi's proposal. This creates the rivalry between him and Jacob. Thembi forgives Jacob for his collaboration with Abayomi. Jacob and Lerato get married.

Jacob faces the complaints of Lerato who no longer wants to live with Andile and those of his mother who no longer supports her stepdaughter. Bola arrives and seeks to find his father to kill him. Bola's men overcome the chief's security device and burst into his home.

Folake arrives at the Chief's safe house to discover it in a shambles. Bola has managed to track down and exact revenge on his father. Folake and Jacob both know Bola had a hand in their father's murder, but now they must now convince the police of their suspicions.

Bola wants to rally the Council to his cause and threatens Jacob if he stays in Lagos. Folaké is devastated that her father was buried without her. Jacob's associates are nervous that Abayomi is dead. The court accepts Bola's request and cancels the will. Folaké discovers Prospero's duplicity.

Jacob visits Folaké and discovers his friend's betrayal. He goes home to figure it out. Bola tells Prospero that he is sure he can influence the supply side of the energy sector. Jacob receives a phone call: Lerato is in the maternity ward and she risks a miscarriage.

Jacob and Folake have a son. She announces to Jacob that she is going to Lagos to trap her brother. Bola is arrested for the murder of his father. The will is recognized: Jacob is enthroned Chief Yoruba. Thanks to his connections, Bola gets out of prison. At home, Jacob is welcomed by armed men.

Jacob, a brilliant businessman, is about to obtain one of the largest government contracts relating to the search for a new source of energy. When his boss admits to him that he is his biological father, Jacob vows to fulfill the old man's dream: to build an empire while keeping the family together.

Jacob confesses his infidelity to Lerato and leaves. He leaves a jewel and a letter that asks her to forgive him. Prospero tries to bribe Glenda and offers her work in exchange for information. Out of loyalty to Jacob, she refuses. Jacob supports his brother and invests in the security company he has just created.

Jacob and Folaké go to Lagos to discuss the inheritance with Glenda. Andile steals Prospero's cell phone. Prospero has a run-in with Andile over the theft. He tells the incident to his brother. Folaké discovers that Bigelow ordered the attack on the oil rig.

Prospero fires Glenda. Jacob refuses to give her another chance. Bola is indicted. Jacob realizes that he is still in love with Zanèlé. Bola arrives in Johannesburg. Prospero is caught bribing the minister. Prospero attacks Jacob who escapes unscathed.

The baby is kidnapped. As Lerato works on TV, the police advise to broadcast a press release there, Lerato is sure that the kidnapper is Bola. Jacob receives a ransom demand of 2 million. The money should be transferred without calling the police. Lerato does it anyway, Bola runs off with Joe.
