Joe & Jack

Joe and Jack are feeling a bit peckish, so when Nana says that everything she eats comes from the garden, Joe and Jack decide that gardening is the thing for them. They set out to plant lollypop trees, chocolate cake bushes and fairy cake shrubs, but in the real world, it takes a wee bit longer to grow things than in their imaginations!

Joe and Jack decide that midnight is the perfect time for a midnightfeast. They decide to visit Fred the Fridge, but before they get there, they have to contend with the Lumpy Bumpy Monster and lots of other things that go bump in the night! But when the lads let Fred sing out to his heart's content, he rewards them with loads of goodies.

Joe and Jack overhear Nana and Mum talking about the beautiful Caribbean seas that are full of fish and treasures! The duo decide to hunt for buried treasure and the nearest 'sea-like' location is Lizzie's pool next door. So off they set, with Nana in tow, to seek their fortune. Two small problems: Jack won't get his fur wet and Joe can't swim...

Joe and Jack are watching Robin fly around the garden and think it'd be great if they could fly just like the birds. There's only one thing for it: they have to build their own plane. So with the help of Lizzie and Tallulah, they set to with cardboard box, twine and feathers. Not forgetting the airplane noises and compulsory arm flapping...

When Nana arrives back from the hospital and tells everyone about the lovely doctor who bandaged her leg, Joe and Jack immediately wonder who might be in need of their help. When they look around the garden, there's Tortoise with his severe case of heavy toes and Ladybird who's covered in dotty spots. The list is endless...

When Lizzie announces that she has a new hut, Joe and Jack imagine an amazing espionage headquarters complete with lasers and Morse code. What Lizzie has, however, is a very nice location for afternoon tea. This then spurs Joe and Jack on to create their very own Spy HQ that they cleverly disguise as a bundle of sticks...

It's raining outside so to keep everyone busy, Mum suggests Joe and Lizzie paint pictures of Jack and Tallulah. When Jack wants to help out, he starts by cleaning his paintbrush in a jar of clean water, thereby creating a magical potion! So now, what are they going to do with a magic potion? Mmmh, they can make things disappear. Guess who's top of Jack's list?

Gracie doesn't like the new baby food that Mum is trying out - she prefers throwing it at Joe to eating it. And as most of the food lands in Joe's ear, he misses out when Mum mentions that she and Dad are going out and Fidelma, the babysitter, will be coming around that evening.

When Dad decides to buy a new TV at a monster TV sale, Joe andJack mistakenly think he's bringing a monster into the house. It takes all their imaginative powers to scare away the monster so they can keep Dad and the whole family safe. Shame really that they scare the living daylights out of poor Dad...

When Dad wins a trophy for creating an amazing new ice-cream flavour, Joe and Jack decide that they too need to get really, really good at something so that they can win a trophy. Jack has an interesting notion of how to win that involves cheating, so when it's pointed out to him that what he's doing is wrong, he has to make amends.

Finding a baby bird in the garden prompts Joe, Jack, Lizzie and Tallulah to become its parents and teach the fledgling how to fly. After various attempts, poor little Flapalot hasn't budged an inch. There's obviously quite a bit more to showing birds how to fly than you might think!

Joe and Jack set out to find the partners of the socks that went astray after Mum's hung out the washing. Sleuthing work is never simple, especially when everyone in the house is under suspicion. With magnifying glass in hand, the budding detectives decide to follow the path of the missing socks until they are all found! But some of the missing socks don't come easily...

Joe and Jack decide to build a space ship in their living room. And when they carry out their mission controls, Dad inadvertently adds sound effects that convince the lads that they've really taking off for outer space. The idea that they really are in outer space is only reinforced when they come across some Aliens but even Dad's not convinced that they're not aliens!

When Joe and Jack discover that one table leg is shorter than the others, they decide to look for the monster that must have bitten it away. Jack's extensive knowledge of wildlife 'reveals' that the offending furniture-eater must be a crocodile, so there's nothing for it but for the lads to take off on a quest for the wrongdoer who seems to be a few steps ahead of them.

Nana tells Joe and Jack that Bluebells are also called 'Fairy Flowers'. After a mishap with a Frisbee, they accidently damage the flowers so now the Fairies don't have a home. How are the duo to re-house the fairies? And just what part does Lizzie's doll's house and Nana's lost rings have to do with re-housing fairies?

Joe and Jack love playing Pirates so when their prized cutlass goes missing, the search for buried treasure becomes personal. They seek the help of Nana who regales them with tales of Caribbean Sea Pirates, but closer to home, they have to deal with a marauding Seadog who loves to bury treasure. Their treasure...

Lizzie arrives with a bubble making kit and Jack decides that he and Joe will make (and preserve) the bestest bubble ever. But they haven't reckoned on Tallulah and her penchant for snapping at the watery wonders of delight... And did Mum really need to test out her new Hedgehog costume today of all days?!

Joe rarely lets his size get him down but when Gordon tells him he's too small to play football he decides, with Jack's help, to do something about it. They discover, after a number of false starts, that good goods really do come in small packages. Even Gordon wishes he too were small!

When Joe and Jack find out that you can make robots by recycling juice cartons and other bits and pieces they go on a hunt for anything and everything they could possibly use. It's the issue about having to first use the things before you can 're-use' them that causes a little confusion.

Joe and Jack are given a rare opportunity to test their culinary skills when it transpires that there are no snacks left for Mum. Wonder whose fault that was... Anyhow, what will they make? Will it be delicious mud pie or some butterfly toast for tea? With Lizzie and Tallulah's help they find their inspiration in the unlikeliest of places. Who knew that the buttercup could be a culinary heroine?

Dad decides to buy a video camera to film Joe and Jack's adventures.Jack is convinced this is his big moment, not only to star in a movie but also to commence his career as a director. But Tallulah doesn't take kindly to being told what to do, particularly when she's told to be a silent hedge.

When a spontaneous dance by Joe and Jack appears to causes a torrential downpour, the duo set out to reverse the process and get the sun to shine! It takes enormous effort and lots of interesting dance moves - some motivated by a small mouse - to persuade the sun to come back out to play.

Joe and Jack imagine what it's like to be famous jungle explorers and head off to the park with Nana to practice their exploring skills. Jack, of course, has all the know-how, complete with jungle cries and tracking tips. But one too many unexpected surprises - a log, stick and a huge tree trunk - has them running for cover into the less scary that is Nana's back garden.

When Joe and Jack overhear Mum say that Dad really needs a holiday they set out to provide everything he might want in the way of sun, sea and sand - all in their own back garden. A mishap with a watering can puts a real dampener on their 'makeshift' holiday until Mum and Gracie arrive home with a big surprise for all the family.
