Two years have gone since the events of the last season. Detective Eva Thornblad has put the past behind her - with a few exceptions. She is still haunted by the images of her lost daughter Josefine. The same parasite that took Josefine away, saved Eva's life. It gives her enhanced abilities, but it also tortures her mind.
