Uma and Manohar are a joyfully wedded couple with two children, Chakuli and Bacchu. As Uma becomes aware of Manohar's affair with a widow, Manisha Salkar, she chooses to separate from Manohar. She goes out to settle in her parent's home, her mum and brother attempt to persuade her not to, but they fail.
