Keeping Up Appearances

Daddy has sustained an injury while chasing the milkwoman on his bicycle. He was found naked and is now heavily sedated in the hospital. Major Wilton-Smythe offers Hyacinth flowers for her candlelit supper table, but when she arrives to collect them, she also receives unwelcome advances.

Hyacinth has asked the new vicar to tea and, as usual, she has organized the event down to the last sugar lump. Meanwhile Rose is threatening suicide, broken-hearted over Mr Hepplewhite, who has gone back to his wife.

Following an eventful visit with Daddy, Hyacinth looks forward to soaking up a little culture at her favorite stately home. But her plans are ruined when Onslow, Daisy and Rose show up.

Hyacinth is at her wits' end, what with the charity shop, Councillor Nugent and Rose's love life to deal with. Not to mention the strange woman in Daddy's bedroom who is claiming to be his fiancée.

Hyacinth's social standing in the church is jeopardized when Daisy tries to make Onslow jealous.

Daisy and Onslow's daughter, Stephanie, has had a baby. Everyone is getting ready for the christening but it's not long before pandemonium breaks loose.
