Lake Baikal

Russia discovered Lake Baikal in 1643. The lake is located in south of Eastern Siberia. It is the largest fresh water lake in the world. As of 2002, there are 260 thousand tons of fish in the lake. Although it is thought that there are 60,000 fresh water seals living in Lake Baikal, their numbers have been substantially reduced through illegal hunting. See the majesty of this beautiful lake.
