It is back to school for ex-soldier Larry Crowne when he is fired by his big-box company for not having a college degree. Stuck for options, he enrolls in his local community college where are all trying to find a better future for themselves. Much to his surprise, he develops a crush on his public-speaking teacher, who has lost as much passion for teaching as she has for her deadbeat husband.
