Cousin John is out of place amongst a lively young group of house guests, who are not only making him feel his age but also arousing him in the most unexpected way. Inspired by John Betjeman's own recordings with Jim Parker's band, this film is full of the late poet's obsessions with sensuality and nostalgia for a style and a pace of life long since gone.
